One-to-one retreat with Sonya Stattmann
A facilitated retreat for women facing a crossroads. Return integrated with the clarity and direction that couldn’t surface in your day-to-day life.
Something is trying to surface. Your life just will not stop long enough to let it.
There is something you cannot hear clearly from inside your own life. A decision that keeps stalling. A direction that will not reveal itself. A version of yourself that has been trying to surface for longer than you want to admit.
You have tried to find it in the margins. The early mornings, the quiet weekends, the moments between obligations. But life keeps coming. The responsibilities, the noise, the performance of holding it all together, and the thing you are trying to hear keeps getting buried under all of it.
The margins were never going to be enough. An hour before the house wakes up is still inside the same nervous system that has been managing everything else for years. You cannot access what is buried in the same conditions that buried it.
You do not need more time in your full and demanding life. You need to remove yourself from it. Completely, deliberately, for long enough that what has been buried can finally surface.
That is what my retreat offers.
A different kind of away.
Here’s what actually happens once you step out.
This is not a wellness retreat. There are no group sessions, no scheduled activities, and no programme to follow. It is a fully private, custom-designed experience built entirely around you and what you are carrying.
It works because of the sequence. The body opens first: time in nature, somatic practices, rest, and nourishment, not as a warm-up to the real work but as the work itself. Only once your nervous system feels safe enough to release, does what has been buried become accessible. That is when the facilitated sessions go deep.
Two to three days, immersed in nature on the Fleurieu Peninsula, South Australia, or at a location of your choosing, designed entirely around your situation, your needs, and how you work best.
This is not a holiday. It is a return that ripples through your work, your relationships, and everything that comes after.
The Retreat Experience
Every retreat moves through four orientations. Not as a rigid programme. As a natural sequence that follows how human beings actually open, surface, shift, and integrate.
1. Arrive & Unwind
Nothing is possible until you have actually landed.
You begin with time in nature, somatic practices, rest, and nourishment. Nothing is forced, so real change can begin. The pace slows until your system remembers what safety feels like.
2. Reveal and Reflect
Space creates what effort never could.
With your nervous system settled, the facilitated work begins. We pull the threads that have been waiting: the patterns, the beliefs, the adaptations that have been running the show.
3. Emerge and Envision
From cleared ground, something new becomes visible.
This is where the work turns forward. We explore what you actually want, not what you have been performing or producing. The direction that has been waiting underneath everything else.
4. Integrate and Return
What shifts here does not stay here.
Before you leave, we anchor what has emerged. You return reoriented, with clarity about what changes when you get back and a private audio resource to support the integration.
“I came into this work feeling like I was hiding a huge part of myself and my past. Through the facilitation, I felt ready to accept my story, the unedited version, and use it to build a path forward that actually feels like me.”
~ Sarah Cannata

What makes this different?
From every other retreat you have considered
Private Facilitation
No group to divide my attention, and no generic content that lands for someone else. Every hour is facilitated for exactly what you are carrying, and my experience creates the right flow: depth when needed and space where required.
Regulation First
Accelerated transformation in a few days requires the right sequence to unlock the nervous system and allow space for resurfacing the clarity that has been buried. Safety first, and then revelation can arrive.
Days, Not Hours
A single session gives you insight. Multiple days give you time to release the responsibilities pulling your attention. Finally, you get to focus fully on yourself and have the space and time to feel what you truly desire.
Beyond the Retreat
This is not a vacation whose benefits fade soon after you step back into your life. Support continues beyond the retreat, in a private podcast and a one-hour session. Longer-term support is also available.
“Within my first conversation with Sonya, she uncovered what I needed to let go of and helped me refocus my energy. It’s like all the tendrils of self-awareness and uncovering of behaviours came together.”
~ Alison Sauter
Hello! I am Sonya
I have spent more than two decades facilitating spaces where women go deep, not for an hour, but for days at a time. Most retreats are designed around a schedule. Mine are designed around a nervous system, yours.
You will not be managed here, and you will not be left to find your own way through something big with no one steady beside you. I am trauma-informed, certified in Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy, and I know how to be with what surfaces, even when it is more than either of us expected.
I know what it takes to hold someone through that. What needs to flow and what needs to be stilled. What threads need to be pulled, and what stories are being used to shield the real work.
I have facilitated hundreds of women through this kind of immersive work and completed more than 10,000 hours coaching women. Through my work, I have learned that the depth only becomes safe when the person holding it has done her own excavation first. I have lived this work in my own life, and continue to do so every day.
This is intimate work, and I do not take it lightly. For two to three days, it is just us, and everything I have built over twenty years is there to hold you.

Who is this retreat for, and who is it not for?
—> This retreat is for women who are at a genuine crossroads. A decision that keeps stalling, a direction that will not reveal itself, or a version of themselves that has been trying to surface for longer than they want to admit.
It is for women who are ready to go deep, who are curious about themselves and what is underneath, and who have some experience with coaching, therapy, or personal development.
The retreat goes deep quickly and works best with someone who is already familiar with that territory. Not an expert. Just someone who knows how to reflect and be honest with themselves even when it is hard.
It is not for women looking for just a holiday, a spa weekend, or a motivational experience. If you are looking for relaxation without depth, this is not the right fit.
What I offer is closer to facilitated excavation, a guided path to letting go of the adapting and performing that got you this far, but is no longer working. This work can sit alongside coaching and therapy. It offers a different entry point and can access different layers.
What does a typical day look like?
—> Every retreat is different because every woman is different. As a general rhythm, mornings tend to begin gently, with time in nature, somatic practices, and space to arrive fully before the facilitated sessions begin.
The deeper work happens when your nervous system is settled and open. Afternoons hold a mix of facilitated sessions, solo reflection time, and nourishment. Evenings are yours. Nothing is rigid.
The day follows what is present and what is needed. We will discuss options fully on the call.
Where can the retreat take place?
—> The Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia is the primary location and the most cost-effective option. It is remote enough to feel genuinely away, close enough to Adelaide to be accessible, and immersed in the kind of landscape that does its own work on the nervous system.
If you would prefer a different location, anywhere in Australia or internationally can be arranged, with travel expenses agreed in advance.
Is there support after the retreat?
—> Yes. Integration does not end when you leave. Every retreat includes a private podcast with practices and guidance built around what surfaced during your time together, along with a follow-up facilitated session within two weeks of your retreat.
What shifted during the retreat needs time and support to take root in your life. That is what the follow-up is for. Longer-term support is available if you want to continue work with me.
How far in advance do I need to book?
—> Because every retreat is custom-designed, I ask for a minimum of four weeks between our initial conversation and the retreat itself. This gives us enough time to design the experience properly, for you to prepare, and for logistics to be arranged.
For retreats outside of South Australia, more lead time may be needed.
If something is urgent, reach out, and we will see what is possible.
What does it cost?
—> Retreats start at $5,000 AUD for two days and are priced based on duration, location, and what you need. This includes facilitation, the private podcast, and your follow-up session.
It does not include accommodation, food, travel, or wellness services such as massage or yoga. These are either arranged by you or coordinated by me with costs passed on at no markup.
The Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia is the most cost-effective location. For a tailored quote based on your situation, duration, and location, mention it in your application, and we will work it out together.
A 50% deposit is required to secure your dates and begin the design process, with the remaining balance due two weeks before your retreat. Payment plans are available. Mention it in your application, and we will find an arrangement that works.
Ready to begin?
You have read this far because something here resonated.
That is worth paying attention to.
The application is short. It asks where you are, what you are navigating, and what you are hoping might shift. There is nothing to prepare and no right or wrong way to answer. After that, we have a brief conversation to explore whether this is the right moment and the right fit. If it is, we design your retreat together.
